What is BTG coin?

BTG, known as Bitcoin Gold, is a cryptocurrency based on Bitcoin's blockchain technology. It was launched in October 2017 as a hard fork of Bitcoin, aiming to decentralize mining by adopting the Equihash algorithm. BTG enables GPU mining and seeks to provide a more democratic mining process compared to Bitcoin's SHA-256 algorithm.
